In the upcoming Diablo IV, level 100 is known to be the maximum level for a character – but it will be a long way for most players to get there.
If you want to bring a character to the maximum level 100 in Diablo IV, you should be prepared for a long-term process and bring a lot of time with you. Associate Director Joseph Piepiora confirmed this in a statement on Twitter.
There, a fan had taken up the topic and had a reaction from Piepiora. According to the Blizzard Entertainment executive, the average player will probably have to invest around 150 game hours to reach level 100.
The query came up after an interview in the PC Gamer caused some confusion in this regard. Back then, that same Piepiora said that you have to plan around 80 hours to complete a seasonal Battle Pass; If you want to reach the maximum level of 100, you have to invest as much time and a little more – but he left it open what time he meant by that.
Now the clarifying statements followed: “To reach level 100, 150+ hours are needed for the average game experience.” Long-time gamers of the series can possibly make this time window a little shorter, but a lot of time should still be necessary. In any case, it should be noted: 150 hours is a little more than 80 hours plus a small time bonus.
If you switch from Diablo III to the fourth part, you will have to be prepared to reach the maximum level later. Depending on the skill set, the maximum level of 70 could be reached in a few hours in the third part of the series.
