Honkai Star Rail Fool's Box puzzle solutions for 'Vessel of Mediocrity'

There are many fools box puzzle on the three parts of “Vessel of mediocrity” Belobog Overworld Adventure Mission in Honkai: Stellar Rail.

You must solve these box puzzles in order to get rewards and help the mysterious Cyrille understand why her memories are so corrupted.

Honkai Star Rail Fool’s Box puzzle solutions for ‘Vessel of Mediocrity’ – Part 1

The first part of the adventure mission “Vessel of Mediocrity” is located in the middle of the Backwater Pass Belobog Overworld area. Talk to the little girl Cyrille to start the first puzzle.

To familiarize yourself with how these puzzles work, there are only two steps to solving this Fool’s Box puzzle:

Push the right box forward once
Rescue Cyril

Fools box 2 puzzle solution

You must now save two appearances of Cyril. Here’s how to solve the second Fool’s Box puzzle in Part 1:

Push the rightmost square to the right once
Rescue Cyril
Push the box in the middle to the left once
Rescue Cyril

Talk to Cyril again after you solve the puzzles, then follow the quest to Sampo’s location and take him to where Cyril was in the Backwater Pass.

It will take about a day for Part 2 of “Vessel of Mediocrity” to unlock on your map.

Honkai Star Rail Fool’s Box puzzle solutions for ‘Vessel of Mediocrity’ – Part 2

When part 2 of “Vessel of Mediocrity” is unlocked, it will appear as a blue adventure mission symbol in the southwest corner of the restricted area of Silvermane Guard Belobog Overworld area.

Cyril has mysteriously grown up overnight, and you need to talk to him again to start these Fool’s Box puzzles.

That’s a tricky question to solve, so here’s how to solve the first Fool’s Box puzzle for “Vessel of Mediocrity” Part 2:

Push the leftmost square forward twice
Push the topmost square to the right once
Push the box directly below you down once
Push the crate once in front of Cyrille to the right
Rescue Cyril

Push the box on your left to the left once, then push the box directly below you down once
Push the rightmost square forward once
Push the crate near Cyrille to the left once
Rescue Cyril

Once you have saved the two Cyrils, talk to adult Cyril to access the next puzzle.

Fools box 2 puzzle solution

This puzzle may seem daunting at first, but as long as you save each Cyril as you go, you’ll complete it in fewer moves than the last one.

If you want to know how to finish it quickly, here’s how to solve the second Fool’s Box puzzle in part 2:

Push the first box on the right to the right thrice
Push the box in the middle of this corner forward once
Rescue Cyril

Push the box directly below you once
Rescue Cyril

Push the square above the last Cyril to the left once
Rescue Cyril

Once you’re done, talk to Cyril, then follow the quest to talk to Dunn on the south side of the restricted area of Silvermane Guard.

Part 3 of “Vessel of Mediocrity” unlocks after you complete the main story on Jarilo-VI, when Dunn texts you. If he doesn’t text you immediately after completing the story, you may have to wait a day for the server to reset.

Once Dunn has texted you, return to his location at the very south of the restricted area of Silvermane Guard.

After talking with Dunn again, go to the quest symbol “Vessel of Mediocrity” Part 3 at the top of the Everwinter Hill area of the outside world of Belobog.

Talk to the Guardian Shadow (wonder who they might be…) to start your very last Fool Box puzzle in this mission.

There are four Cyrils to save in this final puzzle, but if you remember to save them as you go, you’ll have a much easier time finding the solution.

For quick reference, here’s how to solve the Fool’s Box puzzle in “Vessel of Mediocrity” Part 3:

Push the box directly in front of you forward thrice
Push the box under the Cyrille in the upper left to the right once
Rescue Cyril

Push the box to the right of where Cyril was to the right once
Push the box above Cyril in the upper right to the right twice
Ignore the Cyril in the upper right for now and go back to where you saved the first Cyril and push the box that would have been below it once

Push the square to the left of the lowest Cyril once
Rescue Cyril

Push the box directly above you forward once (not the box next to the bottom Cyrille)
Push the box under the top Cyrille to the right once
Rescue Cyril

Push the box to the left of the remaining Cyril down once
Rescue Cyril

After completing the box puzzle, open the chest next to the Shadow Guardian to get two 4-star pieces of the Thief of Shooting Meteor Relic set, which increases the Break effect of attacks.

you might want add a physical attacker to your party at this point, because after talking to the Guardian Shadow, you will have to fight against enemies who are all vulnerable to the physical. Using Wind, Quantum, or Fire characters can also help.

After the battle is over, head to Belobog’s Overworld administrative district and talk to Manya outside Serval’s Workshop to complete the “Vessel of Mediocrity” adventure mission.
