You can set up such a Samsung account either on your PC, smartphone or directly on the Smart TV. It only takes a few minutes. Below we show you how the process works on Samsung Smart TVs.

Skip ads and turn off
On Smart TVs, additional Smart TV advertising is shown in addition to normal advertising. You can skip this with devices from LG, Samsung, Panasonic and Sony.
If you haven’t yet created a Samsung account on your smart TV, we’ll explain exactly how to do it below. Here are some important points, like the security level of your account, to consider.
Create Samsung Account

You will now see different icons in the “Samsung Account” menu. One of them is subtitled “Create an Account”. You select that and press the Enter key again.
-
2
You will now be prompted to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
-
3
Once you have done that, two input fields will appear, one for your ID and one for your password. Choose an existing Internet address that you have access to for the ID identifier. When it comes to the password, you should of course use the most secure combination possible.
-
4
You confirm both entries after typing them in with the virtual keyboard via the right “Next” button. In the login screen you will find a box labeled “Login automatically” next to the two input fields for ID and password.
-
5
Here you can remove or set the checkmark again by pressing the Enter key. If the checkmark is active, you will always be automatically logged in when you switch on your Smart TV without having to re-enter your ID and password each time. Keep in mind that every Smart TV user has access to your Samsung account.
-
6
Optionally, you can also customize the login method you use to log into your account. If you want to protect your account as best as possible, choose a login method with a high level of security.
-
7
When you are finished creating the account, select “Next” at the bottom. You will now be prompted to add personal profile information such as name and date of birth. You can use this information to log in later if you forget your password or ID.
Be sure to uncheck the box below the date of birth entry slot if you don’t want to receive emails regarding Samsung services. Click on “Continue” to complete the account creation.
When you’re done, you can use the back button on your remote control to return to the actual home menu and then to the normal program screen. You can now use your Samsung account on your Smart TV.

Although many smart TVs with the Android TV operating system offer alternative access to the Google Play Store, you will find different apps in the two stores. So if you want access to all applications, you can only do that with a Samsung account.
A Samsung account is also essential for some apps and additional services. This includes, for example, functions of music and gaming services. Even if you want to stream content from your smartphone to the TV (via Samsung Smart View), this can only be done with a Samsung account.
With a Samsung account, you also get access to the Samsung Cloud, which you use to share and synchronize data with other devices. This is especially useful if you have multiple Samsung devices.
Last but not least, some special services such as unlocking devices or locating lost Samsung devices are only available to registered users. Keep in mind that not all of these benefits may apply equally to all Samsung devices. For example, the cloud is much more practical on a cell phone than on a smart TV.
