The strategy epic Humankind is expanded again. The new miracle package called “Para Bellum” is now available – and we’ll tell you what to expect in it.

The turn-based, historical strategy game Humankind is now getting another DLC after “Together We Rule”, namely “Para Bellum”. In this one you get more possibilities to create and manage a unique civilization.

The additional content focuses on six wartime wonders, which are available immediately and for the first two weeks even free of charge; Interested parties can strike in the Epic Games Store and on Steam. From May 10th, the introductory phase will be over and the DLC will cost 2.99 dollars from now on.

The Wonder Pack contains these six new Cultural Wonders:

  • Stables of Pi-Ramesse – Pi-Ramesses was founded during the reign of Ramses in the 14th century BC. to the capital of Egypt. The pharaoh’s stables were the headquarters of the king’s horse-drawn troops and housed and trained up to 460 horses.
  • coliseum – The Flavian Amphitheater was the largest building in Rome until the fall of the Roman Empire. Gladiator schools and their opening games were located around the Colosseum.
  • Citadel von Alamut – It was built on a stunning cliff in the 9th century and conquered by Hassan as-Sabbah in 1090. Under his rule, the remote citadel became the center of power for the Nizari Ismailis.
  • Hotel invalid – The Hôtel des Invalides was built in the late 17th century at the behest of Louis XIV. It was intended to accommodate countless amazed soldiers and veterans, which is why it had many rooms, dining rooms and its own hospital.
  • Imperial Shipyard – The imperial shipyard Wilhelmshaven was founded in 1869. It was the largest shipyard in Germany and specialized in the construction of warships. By the early 20th century, the shipyard employed over 20,000 workers and was constructing some of the largest warships of the era.
  • Pentagon – The Pentagon was built during World War II. This administrative center houses the United States Department of Defense. It employs over 20,000 people and coordinates the missions of over 1.3 million active duty US service members.

Accompanying the DLC pack is the Vauban update, which improves diplomacy, existing wonders and the AI. This patch also integrates the much-requested Steam Workshop support, but still in beta for now.

The changes in the Vauban update at a glance:

  • Demand All/Forego All buttons: New buttons “Forget All” and “Demand All” have been added to the Crisis tab of the Diplomacy screen to deal with all grudges at once. Forgiving has never been easier…or not.
  • Auto Solution Improvements: We’ve added a preview of the damage units will take when the cursor hovers over the Auto-Resolve button. We’ve also made small changes to the auto solution to better reflect army deployments and terrain.
  • AI improvements: We’ve reworked how the AI ​​manages Faith, Influence, and early expansion. The AI ​​should be a better opponent now!
  • Steam Workshop (Beta): In addition to our cross-platform mod solution mod.io we now also support Steam Workshop. Players can decide for themselves whether they mod.io or want to use Steam Workshop for their mods. Please note: This is currently still a beta.
  • Culture Wonder Improvements: We’ve added proximity bonuses to many wonders to encourage players to include them in city planning. Also, Wonders are now cheaper to claim and can be abandoned if a player changes their mind.
