Game news Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, there’s at least one ability we haven’t seen yet!
Although there are only 15 short days left until the release of Tears of the Kingdom, the latter seems far from having revealed all about its features. And if we thought we’d at least seen everything in Link’s abilities, the truth might be very different.
Four forces already well illustrated
If Star Wars fans can more easily go to a galaxy far, far away to wait, the rest of the world is just waiting for the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in two short weeks. After getting a bit of information about one of the most anticipated sequels in video gaming history, we finally got our hands on it within an hour a few days ago. In particular, the opportunity to put Link’s few new powers into action, when we only discovered them during the last Nintendo Direct dedicated to the game.
Control, amalgamation, infiltration and retrospective, these are the four powers that we already know today. as a reminder right of way presents itself as an improved version of the magnet of the first opus, as it allows objects to be both moved and attached to each other to create machines whose only limit seems to be your imagination. amalgam, meanwhile, offers an answer to the destructible weapon problem by offering to merge objects and weapons to create brand new weapons with improved resistance and effects. If you were tired of climbing all the walls to climb higher, infiltration can make it easier for you, as this power now allows your young hero to walk through walls above his head. And finally, retrospective presented itself to us as a kind of power over targeted time, allowing the player to force a moving element to reverse.
But while some might think those were all the powers available in the game, some recent preview elements seem to indicate that Nintendo still has a few surprises in store for us.
One or even two more forces to discover?
If you’ve been watching the many preview videos that have been floating around the web since yesterday, you might have noticed something odd about Link’s power dial. In fact, if we can easily find the four powers already presented, it also contains four other elements.
At first glance, one can easily guess the function of two of themwhat should correspond to that world map and the use of amiibos. However, the third element still remains very mysterious. If we know that the icon on the left corresponds to that retrospectivethat the lower one corresponds to thatamalgamthat the upper one corresponds to thatinfiltration and that the right one corresponds to thatright of way, It remains to be seen what power corresponds to the symbol of the three purple hands in the lower right. You will find that there is a new power here that you have not seen before. I was able to play around with it a bit, but I’m not allowed to show you or call it by its name. I can tell you that unlike Grasp, Amalgam, Infiltration and Retrospective, it is not available at the beginning of the game. You’ll get it later, and it goes hand-in-hand with the constructions that Emprise allows to make everything more practical, especially in parts of the game where you have to build a lot.
In other words, there’s definitely an additional power that we don’t know much about just yet. But if you look at the wheel we also notice a section that is as empty as it is mysterious. At the moment it’s difficult to know if it’s the location of another power available in the game, if we can hope for an addition in a possible DLC, or if it’s just an aesthetic way to standardize the selection wheel… Respond on May 12th when we can get the game in hand.
