Love it or hate it, the end of Abby’s third day The Last of Us Part II is one of the most memorable moments of the sequel. While playing as Abby, the game’s secret second protagonist, the player is forced into a brutal battle with longtime protagonist Ellie at a Seattle theater. If you want to relive that intense moment every time you glance at your shelf, an incredibly expensive set of statues recreating the scene is on the way. If you’re willing to shell out a few grand, that is.
Collector company Prime 1 Studio is releasing two statues, sold separately of both characters. One shows Abby with interchangeable arm parts, holding either a pistol, a hammer, or a Molotov cocktail (which she notably can’t use). The Last of Us Part II). The third of these can only be obtained by purchasing the bonus version of the statue on the company’s website. The other statue shows Ellie sneaking around an archway with a shotgun in hand, but it’s not available for pre-order at the time of writing. Once both statues are placed next to each other, the scene of the confrontation of the two protagonists is recreated. At least here the player is less forced to choke Ellie. The Abby half measures about 22 inches in height, so the statues are both quite tall. Make sure you have the shelf space for it before getting your hopes up.
IIt looks amazing though I am a last of us Super fan and I can’t even justify spending the money it would take to get the full set. The Abby statue alone costs $1099, which means whenever Prime 1 Studio makes it available for pre-order, the Ellie statue will likely cost around that much. I already paid $2000 for the replica Ellie’s guitar because of a pandemic and I was stuck in my house with more money than I should have been trusted with, and that was before I moved to one of the most expensive cities in the world. But if you want to buy the Abby statue alone or in preparation for displaying her and the Ellie statue side by side, start counting your pennies and move on to Prime 1 Studio website
While Abby is well-known to gaming fans, the character has yet to debut in HBO’s adaptation of The last of us which aired earlier this year. However, it looks like the character will debut on time in Season 2. We don’t know who will play her, but the actor does better be buff.
