That’s good news, because it means a release is still planned for 2023. Earlier this year, the studio said the game would soon have all the content and be “playable from start to finish.”
Alan Wake 2, announced in 2021 but known to have been in development for a while before, will be a survival horror game that looks darker than its predecessors.
While the first Alan Wake had horror elements, it was essentially an action game, and this will be Remedy’s first survival horror game with its own style.
An exact release date has yet to be confirmed, but when it does, it will be available on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
