For many fans of horror games, Resident Evil 4 has become, for many reasons, one of the best parts of the license. Despite the years that have passed, this work has shown great potential, to the point that a remake has brought back its essence, action and, of course, work hazards.
However, you should know that this survival horror has gone through a development process that can attract a lot of attention in some ways. After all, the initial ideas for its development, how it started even with a beta, ended up being scrapped to be covered by a project known as “Resident Evil 3.5”.

It must be remembered that the story of Resident Evil 4 dates back to 1998, when Kamiya was the director of the project, with ideas such as its setting in Europe and design elements that later became Devil May Cry. However, you should know that despite the misconceptions, Capcom has continued to work on the works, bringing to life two different betas for Resident Evil 4.
The protagonist was Leon S. Kennedy, showing us the hero having to infiltrate Umbrella’s headquarters. However, he would be surprised by an attack that would eventually infect him with the virus, causing him to see hallucinations that would transform the aesthetic.
This is where it should be pointed out that, although a beta version was presented with the proposal, it ended up being rejected, this time due to the price of production as well as the fact that the result was not entirely convincing. Working on the project again, despite maintaining some concepts, the work ended up being developed which would eventually go by the name of Resident Evil 4.
