After a great first episode in which we play a barista in an alternative Seattle bar, Toge Productions returns to bring us a second episode that’s just as enjoyable to enjoy. When you see vampires, werewolves and cats again, all characters have a story and as a barmaid it’s up to you to listen to them. That’s not all, because you have to offer them a drink of every taste. True to the first opus, this sequel doesn’t add much that is new, which certainly makes it so enjoyable to browse. Why change such a delicious formula?
Do you prefer tea, coffee or chocolate?
A few years after the first opus, you resume your role as a bartender in the same place, plus I strongly advise you to do the first episode beforehand to see your favorite customers again! Unsurprisingly, the rain is still present in Seattle.
True to its original atmosphere, begin your service by reading the news from the newspaper. They change depending on the drinks you serve your customers/friends. So you have the front page of this strange city every day.
A visual novel where drinks are your only choice
coffee talk unfolds just like a visual novel. However, unlike games of the genre, here you don’t have any no dialogue choice. Plus, you’ll have plenty of time to read and enjoy your customers’ stories. Your goal is to comfort her with the most suitable drink to your friends profile.
If you recognize a few characters from the first installment, there are also new faces crossing the bar’s door. To satisfy them, tea, glass tea, hibiscus, chocolate, coffee and blue peas are at your disposal. As a good barista, you can add up to two other products to your beverage base, such as milk, ginger, honey, mint, lemon, or cinnamon.
A healthy game?
Sometimes customers tell you exactly what they want; Otherwise you only have a hint and have to experiment. As you play, you’ll build a nice little collection of recipes, all hosted on your phone (where you can also visit a Twitter-like social network for gossip and read daily short stories).
The game is with an infinite sweetnessMister. If you mismatch a drink with one of your customers, that’s okay. There are No money management, nothing, you just live your life as a bartender without pressure.
Diploma
Coffee Talk Hibiscus & Butterfly is not just a simple version 1.5 of coffee talk ! When new tea flavors have been added, a new tab is also available. You can give items to your customers. While writing certain stories isn’t very believable at times, I’ve loved seeing certain characters again and I’m very fortunate to be able to help them through their ordeal. I can only recommend this second episode to anyone who needs sweetness.
I loved :
- The number of recipes
- The story of the characters
- The influence of drinks on creature dialogue
- soothing music
- The challenge mode that allows you to put your knowledge to the test
- We can still make beautiful latte art
- A feel-good experience without pressure and coercion
- Interface and subtitles in French
I’m sorry :
- The game may last too few days.
