Gaming News Do you like healing in World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy? Here are the best single player video games where you can play a healer
If you’re used to playing the role of a healer but don’t want to get involved in time-consuming online games, this selection is for you!
Is there a nobler role than that of healer (Healer)? Too often considered the quintessential “thankless” feature, it is nonetheless what allows a multitude of unskilled players to stay alive. Numerous MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Video Games) allow you to play healers to save the lives of your comrades who stay in (or even in…) the fire a little too long. Whether in World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV Online, or a plethora of other massively multiplayer games, players can don their best gear to be as efficient as possible dungeons or raids. Healing may seem daunting to some people, but apart from being essential to the group’s survival, this role can prove daunting so fun… so difficult. Knowing how to manage your mana (magic points), anticipate the blows that the unlucky comrades will take, take care of multiple people at the same time, remove the malus (types of curses that have a negative effect on your comrades), dodge everything Danger Zones… Being a healer is no cakewalk!
Unfortunately, it’s rare to find a single player video game based on the role of the healer. Many titles feature characters that can heal, but few focus on these heroes. Also, it’s a pity to be constantly surrounded by other real players to pursue your favorite pastime. That’s why we offer you a selection of independent video games where you can heal without playing online with others!

The Healer’s Quest
Let’s start our picks with Healer’s Quest! This title with an adorable graphic style allows you to embody a healer who joins a group of adventurers. The problem is that they are poor fighters, especially with a tank that will have trouble luring creatures to them, or a mage that isn’t the most skilled. In other words, it’s up to you that everything rests! Various healing spells are available to you, which are used more or less intensively depending on the situation. This title is defined as a Funny roleplay, because the tone is light and the jokes are ubiquitous, a good part of which are particularly meta. The quest of the healer is a Belgian game made by just one person: Pablo Coma. He is currently working on a completely different project in which the player can embody an evil necromancer: Necro Story.
Mini Healer
If you miss raids as a healer in your favorite MMO but don’t want to subscribe to a new one, Mini Healer is for you! This title focuses on deep raids. You can heal your comrades fighting bosses in intense battles and use one of your many spells to turn the situation to your advantage. Multiple talent trees are available to specialize according to your preferences, and gear allows you to power up your character and party. This title is clearly inspired by MMO raids during boss fights… Something to remind some players, their intense raid evenings ! Note that this title is currently in Early Access on Steam.
Raid Heal
Still in games that pay homage to long raid nights, raid healing is a must! This independent game reproduces in a pure and hard way the raids and all the interfaces related to this particularly time-consuming activity. Certainly the graphics are by no means the strong point of this title, however Healer gameplay is taken to the extreme ! You will keep your comrades alive who will face waves of enemies. Optimization is at the heart of the game, with lots of gear allowing you to cruise the waves with increasing efficiency. A game specially designed for experienced healers!
In search of cures
In Looking for Heals you choose your companions! Unfortunately, these are broken arms, but thanks to your excellent healing skills, your party will withstand all dangers. You have at your disposal a variety of forms of care, including healing grenades. If you wish, you can specialize only in magic shields, since the possibilities of the specializations allow you to try new ways of playing.
A healer only lives twice
Originally released on PS Vita, A Healer Only Lives Twice was then released on PC as well. Here you don’t have to heal a group, just your companion knight. The task is even more difficult when they are waves of enemies who confront your only ally when you’re stuck in a hallway. You must be quick and use the right spells at the right time to save your life and that of your friend. Due to your limited torches, you cannot eliminate all enemies at once, making your already difficult role even more challenging.
