Last year the first GameSoul Festival took place in Switzerland and after the successful start it is now going into the second round – again free of charge and with another location.
The newly launched gaming festival GameSoul was able to do well last year. No wonder, then, that there will be another edition of the event this year. At the June 10th and 11th the festival will take place again in Baden and due to its success, the organizers have secured an additional location.
The GameSoul has two new stages. One will be in the BBB vocational school with talks and presentations on topics such as game development, training, metaverse, blockchain gaming, gamification and much more. The stage in the transformer presents e-sports action. GameSoul, entry to which is once again free, thus has three event areas.
Im Infotainment area in the BBB vocational school Swiss game developers will present their projects, which visitors can also gamble on. Schools will show training opportunities in the industry, and students will also present their projects. Also included is a video games museum, which this year includes a special exhibit on controllers. There will also be various talks and presentations on the topics of development, training, gamification, blockchain, metaverse and more, supplemented by free workshops.
Im Entertainment area in the transformer halls there are a number of tournaments and free-to-play areas, but table top gaming is not neglected either, and there is also a new cosplay lounge with studios. There, visitors can watch the cosplayers making their costumes or doing their makeup, including free workshops for those interested. And of course there is also the opportunity to get photos with cosplayers. In addition, greats from the community such as Gameturnier, ManaBar, HeardRead, Erupt Gaming Lounge, Gameorama, Herofest, Polymanga and many more will be represented.
At the Marketplace on Trafoplatz it also gets down to business with shops, trading card area and a bar with music. In contrast to the previous year, the range of tournaments will be further expanded and includes digital tournaments for everything to do with Tekken 7 or Streetfighter through to classic games such as Magic: The Gathering or Klask, along with a large Conquest tournament in a separate area. On Saturday there will also be an 18+ night with CS:GO show matches and more.
The Admission to GameSoul on June 10th and 11th is free again. More information about the festival can be found on the official site.
