The release of Diablo IV is getting closer and now NVIDIA has joined in to distribute some sweets for the release – not to mention DLSS 3.
Almost everything is currently focused on the forthcoming release of Diablo IV on June 6th and that should hardly surprise anyone. Blizzard is already starting an open beta this Friday, which is primarily intended as a stress test for the servers and is accordingly referred to as a “server slam”. Incidentally, during this period you have another chance to reach level 20 with a character and thus secure the wolf pup pet.
For owners of RTX 40 graphics cards, the beta will be technically exciting because, unlike previous betas, it also uses DLSS 3 as upscaling technology to get the frame rates moving. Previously only DLSS 2 was available in the beta versions.
Appropriately, Blizzard and NVIDIA have also put together a new bundle that is available from now until June 13th. Buyers of GeForce RTX 4070, 4070 Ti, 4080, and 4090 graphics cards and desktop PCs with compatible GPUs will receive a free Battle.net copy of Diablo IV from select retailers and retailers. The game must be played through the GeForce Experience application on a Redeemed desktop PC with qualifying graphics card installed.
In addition to the game, you will also receive some in-game goodies for various Blizzard titles, namely:
-
Diablo IV – Mount Lightbearer and Mount Armor Saddlecloth of Faith
-
Diablo III – Inarius’ Wings & Companion Murloc-Inarius
-
World of Warcraft – Mount Amalgam of Fury
-
Diablo Immortal – Winged Darkness Cosmetic Set (Umbra)
A few other games also received DLSS support today:
-
Fobia – St Dinfna Hotel (DLSS 2 available now)
-
No One Survived (DLSS 2 Available Now)
-
Someday You’ll Return: Director’s Cut (DLSS 2 out now)
It’s clear: Diablo IV gets NVIDIA’s DLSS 3 on the PC to boost performance at higher resolutions.
