Hollow Knight: Silksong is probably one of the most anticipated indie sequels, after all, Hollow Knight turned out to be a hit. Unfortunately, we will have to wait even longer for the successor.
Postponements of highly anticipated games are never pleasant, but in many cases they are simply unavoidable in order to be able to deliver the expected quality. This is all the more true when you consider the state in which PC versions such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor or The Last of Us: Part I and Redfall in general were released.
In this respect, the current news may also have something good, because unfortunately we will have to wait longer for Hollow Knight: Silksong. According to the plans of the makers, the indie sequel should actually be released by the middle of the year, but it will no longer work with a release until June 30th. The makers now acknowledged this in an update on Twitter.
The previous release period was communicated in the last Xbox Showcase, so now the update follows. However, in the course of this it was left open how much longer we have to wait until the title appears. Let’s hope that it will still work at least in 2023! After all, they provide a reason for the step: they are satisfied with how the game is developing, but Hollow Knight: Silksong has finally become “quite big”, which means that the additional development time is now necessary.
