game news Capcom stops them from making their Resident Evil 2 remake, they come back with their own horror video game
Daymare 1994’s story is atypical: it w as essentially an unofficial remake of Resident Evil 2…before it became a franchise in its own right. Its predecessor, Daymare 1994 Sandcastle, is coming very soon.
I’ll make it dream
This is a great video game story. In 2015, a small group of Italian developers wanted to create their own remake of Resident Evil 2
Well, not quite. After that stern (but understandable) gesture The publisher invited the developers directly to its offices in Osaka. The company then confirmed that they were already working on the RE2 reboot and even showed them the progress of the work as well as some images of a Resident Evil VII that is still in full design.
Even better : Capcom persuaded the group of friends to make their desire to make a video game a reality and to continue the efforts already started. Thus, in 2019, Daymare: 1998 was born, a third-person handheld horror game that’s obviously reminiscent of Resident Evil 2 (the Capcom remake this time). And the developers behind it, who now form the Leonardo Interactive studio, are currently working on a sequel.
A demo and a release date
Daymare 1994 Sandcastle was announced last year and is therefore intended as a prequel to Daymare 1998. We will embody Dalila Reyes, a member of the elite soldier group HADES, who must sink into the meanders of a deadly force-ridden military complex. It will exceptionally be equipped with sophisticated weapons to overcome it.
Cleverly blending horror action and horror, this new project promises to please all fans of the genre. Lately, The studio has therefore announced a new release date: it will be August 30, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
And especiallysince… today a new playable demo has just been deployed. This is available on PC Here. We keep our fingers crossed that after all these advances, the end result lives up to expectations and ambitions!
