A more dynamic Dock is the dream of many Mac users.
The iOS and iPadOS Control Center has received all sorts of new features over time, including audio playback control panels, buttons for screen recording, focus modes, and more. What if Apple did the same in one of the most important elements of the Mac?

A Dynamic Dock concept for Mac
The concept of this graphic designer aims to imagine a Dock with “more dynamic and fluid” application icons, which by hovering the mouse over it, they show us more information and additional content. Although, in the words of Janum Trivedi, they could also auto-expand to temporarily display content.
What if the macOS dock and its icons were more dynamic and fluid?
Created a small demo that shows message previews, live music, download progress, etc.
Pretty happy with how it turned out! pic.twitter.com/YpzrWU5klA

The look of this “Live Dock” for Mac is amazing and would provide great benefits to macOS users. In the video we can see how messaging app groups chat conversations and preview of these, the Music app displays a audio playback control panel and the Safari app offers a download progress viewer.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen a similar concept
Will we soon see a dynamic dock?

Apple will present all the new features of macOS 14 during the WWDC23 which will take place on June 5. Unfortunately, details about new features that will be incorporated into the operating system are unknown, but it would be great if a Dynamic Dock was implemented similar to these concepts.
