The new offshoot of the Codemasters (and now EA) Formula 1 series has just been announced. But it’s coming soon, so now the system requirements for the PC version are there as well.

Just a few days ago, EA and Codemasters announced EA Sports F1 23, the latest offshoot of the racing franchise. The game is scheduled to be released on June 16th and will take you into the new racing season.

Since there isn’t that much time left for the release, the system requirements for the PC version have now also been announced on the game’s Steam page and, as usual, the game is comparatively frugal.

Older CPUs such as the Intel Core i3-2130 or AMD FX 4300 and entry-level graphics cards such as the GTX 1050 To or AMD Radeon RX 470 and 8 GB of RAM are sufficient as a minimum requirement. An Intel Core i5 9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X along with a GTX 1660 Ti or Radeon RX 590 and 16 GB of RAM are recommended. However, you should have plenty of hard drive space, because F1 23 would like 80 GB to be able to spread out.

If you are a bit more demanding and want to enjoy F1 23 with ray tracing, you need a little more under the hood. Then it can be an RTX 3070 or a Radeon RX 6800. You are also welcome to gamble with VR glasses (except on PS5, PSVR 2 is not supported). A GTX 1660 Ti or Radeon RX 590 is required as a minimum, an RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT is recommended.

To be really meaningful, the system requirements still lack the resolution and frame rate information – we’ll assume that it’s about 1080p30 for Minumum and 1080p60 for Recommended.
