After years of being thought lost, the original Fallout code has resurfaced and it may be good for a remake of the original titles.
The original code for the first two Fallout games had been missing for years, but according to what Tim Cain, one of the game's original creators, revealed in his youtube channelwould have been found, although this does not exclude that some sort of redo oh remaster in the future by the hand of Bethesda. Although the source code is not absolutely necessary for a development of these characteristics, without a doubt would greatly simplify the work of Bethesda.
The discovery or the recovery, depending on who sees it, was made by Interplay, the first developer of the saga, which although it does not bode well for the launch of Fallout 5, is good for all those who love preservation of classic video games. that they have so much history.

Interplay sold the franchise to Bethesda in 2007. Certainly, he had previously negotiated the rights to make certain individual Fallout deliveries. The Starfield and The Elder Scrolls developer has a numbered fifth installment of the IP pending, though for now everything involving that development is a complete mystery.
A historical fact: Bethesda sued Interplay in the early 2000s because the latter had not started developing Fallout Online after the rights to the IP were sold to Bethesda.
