Car fans are quite eager to be able to test the new installment of F1 23. Its launch is scheduled for next month and they have already confirmed some new features that we did not have in previous versions, however, there are still quite a few things we would like to see. Yes, maybe we are asking too much, but I believe that a sport like this can offer a lot more to its fans, and why not, EA and Codemasters have what it takes to do it.
Here I will not tell you much more about the plug, this article, as the title says, will talk about some new features that I would like to have available in F1 23. I understand that opinions can be very different, but I think that most fans of Grand Cirque will agree with me that what I am about to tell you would suit the saga very well. So without further ado… Let’s go!

Official HUD
Please, At this stage, the game must already offer us the official Formula 1 HUD. The one we have in the Codemasters title is still simpler, but I think this visual in-game formalization would give the delivery a much more immersive feel. Although it wouldn’t affect anything playable, as I told you, it would give the game a much nicer touch.
Full pit road control
That wouldn’t make it mandatory, but rather optional for those who want something more realistic and challenging. On this occasion It would be really interesting if we could control our car from the start to the end of the pits. Control the speed, turn to position the car to change the tires… Although it may seem complicated, it is something that is already implemented in other games, so it is not unreasonable at all .
Starting from the pit lane during the races
Were you penalized for running? In F1 games you would always move back a few places on the grid, however… What if we could start from the pits? Well, the gaming experience would be infinitely better. Do not tell me that it would not be a good idea to implement this for the races of all the game modes that this F1 23 offers us.
More circuits scanned by laser
Something that should be mandatory at this point, I don’t know what the cost of that might be, if it’s profitable for the business or not… But offering laser-scanned circuitry makes it all that much more real. Those of you who have been in this world longer already know how it works, those of you who are newer I will explain it to you a little higher. What this technology does is transfer the actual measurements from the circuits to the game; that is, the distances are exactly the same, the measurements of the edges, bumps… Even the smallest detail is transferred to the game.
Best overall penalty system
Penalties in Formula 1 games have always left a lot to be desired. I understand that there are cases where it is difficult to apply them, but someone hits you and you are punished… It’s pretty ugly. Another situation that is not balanced at all is when the car in front makes you “break test”that is, it brakes suddenly in a straight line for no reason for you to hit it. At that time, the game will also penalize you for givingwhich will give an advantage to the rival in front of you, as they are very likely to penalize you over time.
F1 Life Mode Rework
The arrival of F1 Life in F1 22 was a complete failure, it was a mode that came with the intention of having you live the life of a professional Formula 1 driver, however, it remained in a way that was only good for decorating a wall in your house and spending money. But yes, real money… This mode only offers you cosmetics for your wall at home or clothes for your avatar, an avatar which on the other hand is only available in this mode and only serves as a model. Other players will be able to see him, but you won’t be able to do anything other than change his clothes. A complete disaster.
However, something they have confirmed is the return of red flags to the game, you read that right, after nine years, the red flags return to the franchise. You already know that when there is one, the session is suspended until everything is fine… Normally these flags go out when there is a serious accident and the track becomes dangerous for the rest of the drivers. Either because of pieces of fiber or for any other reason. They are also used when the guardrails are damaged, so we will see how they implement it in the new F1 23.
Something the developer himself has also confirmed is a new stroke distance, so far you know we had short strokes, 25%, 50% or full strokes. On this occasion they have added an intermediate, that is to say that we will be able to play races at 35% distance. something in the middle that can be really great for those times when you can’t get into a mid-distance run.
What do you think, is there an implementation you would like to see in the new F1 23 game? Do not hesitate to leave us your comments on our social networks, as always, we are delighted to read you and to exchange with you. See you next June 16 on the slopesstart the engines, because there are very few left.
