Nintendo’s Latest and Biggest Switch Exclusives, Tears of the Kingdomis the highly acclaimed successor of 2017 breath of the wild. like the last game kingdom features a large open world that players are free to explore to discover new quests and more. But this time, players can also venture above the clouds and below ground into brand new areas that have not existed before breath of the wild. And Link has new abilities including one that lets him glue things to other things and lets the legendary hero craft gliders, boats, etc. huge flaming cocks or other useful items. Sounds exciting! So it’s no surprise that many people want to buy and play this game, which explains the long lines everywhere!
Friday morning in New York City, igamesnewss own Carolyn Small captured video of a very long line stretching several blocks in front of the Nintendo Store. And on Thursday evening, as part of the game’s midnight release, a similarly long line had formed outside the same New York store.
Why the long line? It seems that along with the huge demand for the mega hyped game, people were probably also trying to get their hands on the exclusive, Free Zelda Style Pins distributed to customers by the Nintendo Store. There are also some exclusive Tears of the Kingdom merch also for sale at NYC location.
Long lines for Tears of the Kingdom appear everywhere
But it’s not just the prospect of exclusive goodies on the official Nintendo Store that has people queuing. Elsewhere folks on Twitter documented long queues for GameStops And other shops Where The players waited for hours To Get a physical copy of Tears of the Kingdom. Even Best Buy — a store that, in my experience, rarely gets busy — hasn’t been immune to it zelda-fever, like documented by my city Contributor Ben Bertoli.
Of course, there were no queues for people who bought the game digitally or through sites like Amazon. But I can’t lie There’s something special about waiting in a long line for a game you’re really looking forward to. And when you finally get to the end and buy your copy, it feels a little more memorable and special. I continue to stay on Amazon and buy games digitally, I’m lazy but I get it.
