The German Games Association presents the Sales Awards every month when current games break important sales marks. Four games in Germany were again particularly successful in April.
Four titles broke important sales marks in Germany in the past month of April and turned out to be successful in this respect. One game scooped the platinum game Sales Award for a whopping 200,000 copies sold, while three other titles reached the 100,000 mark, which is enough for a gold award.
For the platinum award, it was enough for a title that is not quite as current, because Need for Speed: Unbound has actually been available since the end of last year. However, the current racer of the long-standing series has continued to be sold, so that the brand has now fallen and the award has now been secured. Congratulations!
The three games, which have sold more than 100,000 in Germany alone, are more recent titles. Dead Island 2, released on April 21, Dead Space, the horror remake available since the end of January, broke this mark, as did Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. In relation to the sci-fi sequel from Electronic Arts, this is remarkable in that it was only released on April 28, 2023 and has therefore broken the mark in just three days since the release day.
