In early 2020 Escape from Tarkov became the (now) most popular game on Twitch. Among other things, this is thanks to large streamers who are showing increased interest in the survival shooter at this time. One of the most popular streamers from Escape from Tarkov is summit1g, which is currently not very good to speak of.
"The Scavs in Escape from Tarkov Can't Be Killed"
The reason for this: According to him, Escape from Tarkov is currently struggling with a "broken NPC spawn system". In the game there is "Scav"
However, scavs do not disappear from the current match as soon as they are shot down, but instead respawn after her virtual demise. And this is exactly the fact that summit1g is currently upset.
In one of his last escape-from-Tarkovs streams, summit1g had to deal with a relatively large number of scavs after being unable to find other human players. And even though he did one scav after another, they did NPCs ultimately killing summit1g's character.
Corresponding frustrated (and with various force expressions) summit1g turned to the developers: According to him, it is no fun to shoot one Scav after another if they respawn anyway. Th is means that it is not possible for any player to master the superiority of the Scavs who cannot be killed.
What would be the alternative to the current enemy respawn?
As an alternative to the current Scavs respawn system, summit1g suggests that, for example, an NPC counter could be introduced in Escape from Tarkov: In such a system, it could be one limited number of scavs from which the current match could be cleaned. The only thing left would be the threat posed by human adversaries.
Whether this is a suggestion with which developers can make friends with Battlestate Games is of course questionable: after all, there are not only loots by killing other players or at dealers and in the flea market, but also those distributed on the map Loot caches
This would make it theoretically easy for gamers to clean the maps of scavs, farm loot and even coordinate them if necessary. And that would be again the balance of the game out of joint, but above all, destroy the real attraction of Escape from Tarkov.
