Blizzard Entertainment is making over 50 accessibility features available to players in Diablo IV.
More than 50 accessibility settings should ensure that as many players as possible have access to the action RPG Diablo IV.
Lead Accessibility Designer Drew McCrory said, “The only limitation to adventuring in Sanctuario should be interest, not ability.”
The team sat down and explored a variety of accessibility features based on what’s possible in Diablo II: Resurrected. The buttons can be reassigned for both the controller and the mouse, and holding down buttons can also be switched to pressing a button. If necessary, the exchange of the right and left stick is possible.
Subtitles are active by default, these can be adjusted in size, font color and background opacity, among other things. Speech-to-text and audio hints are also available, for example, you can specify that only hints are played when legendary items are dropped. Texts in menus and shops are read aloud via screen readers and players, NPCs, objects and more are highlighted.
Blizzard welcomes feedback and ideas on accessibility features as the company plans to add more features based on player feedback.
