It looks like GameStop is preparing to change its subscriber rewards system with GameStop Pro replacing the current GameStop Power Up Rewards, starting next month. The company says in an internal document that GameStop Pro will “deliver a new streamlined, valuable program that gives members more reasons to shop for their favorite games, collectibles and more at GameStop.”
Subscribers will be able to receive an additional 5% off the following: all collectibles, toys, trading cards and apparel, all pre-owned products, all GameStop in-store product protection plans, all GameStop branded products except gift cards, all reviews and discounts agree with existing promotions. As of December 1, all points older than 12 months will expire, and if you do not renew your subscription, your points will also expire. The big news is that the total price will increase to $25 per year, although it should be noted that all previous benefits will still be available. The change reportedly takes effect on June 27.
