Mass Effect Andromeda was a complete disappointment for fans of the saga, however, the game’s director dreams of a sequel that will probably never happen, especially considering the future arrival of Mass Effect 4.

Maybe because the bar was set too high or maybe it was a combination of that fact and the flaws in the game itself in terms of character and storyline finishing, but the truth is Andromeda did the object of harsh criticism from all sides. Of this, Walters said:
“(…) We had to relearn a lot of things, reconsider others (with Andromeda), and when we do that, it’s very, very difficult to deliver something that lives up to what has been done, and we didn’t get there. . In retrospect, I think we should have cut it down a bit and worked on what we could focus on in terms of quality.”
Regarding the future of this intellectual property, the creation expressed:
“I would have loved to do a sequel because people could have seen the improvements we could have made, like what happened with Mass Effect 2 if you compare it to Mass Effect 2 in the original trilogy.”
In favor of this battered dev team, it’s perhaps important to note that BioWare Montreal was the team in charge of Andromeda while the original trilogy was in the hands of the Edmonton division, so there’s even talk of different professionals.
