The end of May is approaching, well, technically there are 10 days left, but you know what I mean. And it is that they will now chain the “big” online digital events that good to have it on your radar to keep up to date with the news that will be announced in the video game sector.
I have therefore prepared a list for you, classified by dates (at least the ones we know) so that you can mark them on your agenda and not miss anything. Considering that on this website we are talking about Xbox and PC games, there is a variety to give and take. You accompany me?
Sony Playstation Showcase (May 24)
Yes I already know: “the enemy at homeand these various jokes that some people say. But really at the Sony event, we’re going to see announcements of games that will be cross-platform. So if you really like video games, this seems like a must to me to find out what games are coming to Xbox.
In fact, even if you don’t have an Xbox, some Sony games will surely come to PC, again, you have to watch the event to find out what’s new. You’ll probably be very focused on your PSVR, so the pace might be a bit slow. You can see it on the channel Youtube of the company or on its channel Tic.
Summer Game Fest (June 8)
The Mister Doritos event is postulated as one of the best. And it is not for less to know the number of partners who will attend. I highly doubt we’ll see anything 100% Xbox as it will have its own event, but there will be plenty of cross-platform play, no doubt. This perhaps with Xbox and Bethesda, seems to me the most powerful and essential.
Geoff Keighley himself confirmed that Microsoft, Sony or Electronic Arts among other things, they’ll be partners, so who knows if a surprise announcement from those we care about sneaks into the show. Like I said, a must. You can see it in the official youtube channel of the event, through Twitch or the rest of social networks, including Facebook and Twitter.
Developer Day (June 8)
A few hours later and right after Summer Game Fest 2023, we will have an event dedicated to small developers. Day of the Devs is really a separate part of Summer Fest, but is promoted by Double Fine (Xbox Game Studios) and iam8bit. Here we expect indie game reveals for all tastes.
Beware of expectations This is not an Xbox event or [email protected], so indies can be released on all platforms. You can see it in the official youtube channel of The Game Awards.
Future Games Show 2023 (June 10)
This event, organized by Gamesradar, has a strong history of reveals. We must therefore be vigilant because most likely we will see advertisements for good games. Again, I doubt we’ll see any Xbox-exclusive stuff here, but don’t overlook the very powerful third-party games. In fact, there are already rumors pointing to it.
Of course, there will also be minor games announced here, and maybe even playable demos released like other years. You can see it in the official youtube channel of the event.
Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct (June 11)
I think for this one there are plenty of presentations. Here, all the hype you bring will be well received. From Xbox Game Studios they have promised an event that lives up to what is expected. here we will see announcements of new exclusive gamesdates and some third-party surprises and predictable new arrivals of games on Game Pass.
After the Xbox Showcase, there will be another joint event that will be 100% dedicated to Stafield, which seems to be Microsoft’s biggest bet this year. That it has its own event is already a statement of intent. You can see it in the official channel on YouTube from Xbox or Tic. Of course, also from the Xbox console itself.
PC Gaming Fair (June 11)
Another one of those events that seem essential to me. The event that the PC Gamer guys organize every year is a demonstration that the PC still has a lot of rope. And besides, there will be revelations of games that will have their console version. It is foreseeable that there will be demos during the event, maybe they will be released in a launcher like Epic or Steam.
You can see the event in the twitch channel PC Gamer or su YouTube channel.
Ubisoft Forward (June 12)
Like every year, Ubisoft is setting up its own casino with its games and bets for the rest of the year. Of course, we expect to see Assassin’s Creed, maybe more Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed demos, Assassin’s Creed DLC, new Assassin’s Creed trailers and hopefully, even new Assassin’s Creed.
As for whether there will be Skull and Bones, I don’t think anyone expects it anymore, maybe the game based on Avatar could make an appearance. You can see the event in the YouTube channel from Ubisoft, o en su twitch channel.
Events if date confirmed
Of course there will be more events, but we still don’t know their date, so we have to wait a bit for it to be released and they give us more information. Here are the confirmed ones for this summer:
- EA Play 2023.
- Direct digital feedback.
The truth is that there is a desire for an event this year, watching the news next to television has become a ritual, and 2023 will be no less so.
