Apple is preparing a major announcement for WWDC 2023 and has invited virtual reality experts to try it out firsthand.
WWDC 2023 is just around the corner and although it has always been a software-focused event, this year a very big novelty is expected in the form of a new device. There have been rumors for years about the launch of Apple’s virtual reality and augmented reality glasses and everything seems to indicate that we will see them at WWDC this year.
Many experts have opted for a launch of this new device at the inaugural conference of WWDC and it seems that Apple confirmed this indirectly. After distributing press invitations to attend WWDC 2023 in person, it was discovered that the company invited several experts in Virtual Reality.
Apple will present its glasses at WWDC
Apple tends to choose the members of the press and content creators who attend its events very carefully. And this year, Apple has decided invite journalists and creators specialized in virtual reality technologies as ian hamiltonthe UploadVR editor, the Norman Chan, known for testing AR/VR devices. This is their first time attending an Apple event.
If Apple invited them, it’s not by chance, it’s because they are preparing an important announcement related to virtual and augmented reality and that can only be in the form of a new device. We can therefore expect an important announcement during the event, beyond the presentations of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17.
It’s not the first time this has happened. For the event of Introducing the Apple Watch
We also saw something similar when Apple announced its Apple TV+ streaming service. There were many guest actors and directors who even took the stage to present their next series and films.
From then on, everything seems to indicate that Apple will present its “Apple Reality Pro”, which seems to be the official name, during its developer conference this year. Something that it makes a lot of sense because a fundamental part of the device will be its operating systemknown as xrOS, and the applications that are developed for it.
