We are happy to share that Miasma Chronicles is coming to Xbox Series X|S tomorrow, May 23rd, and we can’t wait to see your reactions and thoughts as you experience a new America.

For those who don’t know: Miasma Chronicles is a tactical turn-based role-playing game, a genre that The Bearded Ladies team knows well from their previous game. Mutant Year Zero. In miasma Chronicles, You accompany Elvis and Diggs on a journey of discovery through a wasteland plagued by the ecological effects of a wild force known as Miasma.

Miasma Chronicles Designed with playability in mind, it pays homage to many tactical games of the past. We wanted to create a game that allows the player to take control of the battlefield. Explore! Explore! Explore!

Exploration is key. Not only is the world full of useful items to discover, but it’s also worth tracking down any enemies you encounter. Easy stealth kills? Someone next to an exploding barrel? A large group standing together waiting for a nice grenade in the middle? Opportunities are everywhere.

Experiment with weapons

Weapons can be much more useful than just dealing damage. Most weapons have a special built-in “bonus” ability that when used properly (and in combination with the best weapon upgrades) can be very effective. Just because a weapon does less damage doesn’t mean it’s any worse.

In battle, you can examine each enemy character to see what abilities and skills they have. When you come across a new enemy type, it might be worth trying them out to see what nasty surprises they have in store and ultimately how you can counter them.

Teamwork makes the dream come true

Look for skill synergies. Some party member skills may not seem very useful at first, but together they can be very powerful.

Who doesn’t like chips?!

Don’t forget the miasma chips! In the right combos, already powerful Miasma powers can be upgraded with special colored Hack Chips, which can be extremely devastating when used correctly!

It’s just one of those days

Don’t waste a rage shot! If you have full rage, you can deal over 100% critical damage, but the shot RNG still applies. So try not to gamble away your precious Rage Shot on a low hit chance. In addition, Rage can be stacked! Any critical chance above 100% is converted to additional damage. Many different skills and weapon attachments provide crucial bonuses in certain situations. Learn how to get critical hits to deal massive damage.

The Cone of Shame

When using multi-round weapons, combine your surveillance cones from more than one party member to hit multiple enemies.

Always have the upper hand

Look for high ground, you get a nice bonus to critical hit chance with every shot, and with the right weapon attachments you can increase that bonus even further.
