In case you missed it, the game Lord of the Rings Gollum is a real failure. And with some sadness we gave the game a 4/10 rating on iGamesNews. Visually unremarkable and ultimately pretty boring, the adventure game is still a mess. However, the Daedalic studio would obviously develop a second game in the franchise… What’s the worst to expect?
Another Lord of the Rings game after Gollum?
This is news we didn’t expect. The Gameswirtschaft medium, which focuses on news from the German video game industry, has just discovered that there is a second title in the database of video game projects that benefit from federal government funding Lord of the rings by Daedalic. This is codenamed “It’s Magic”. There is even a beginning of the synopsis, which raises many questions. Check out what we can learn:
The Game will transpose The Players in a lush world full of mythical and magical creatures. It tells a story from a character’s perspective that has never been told before. The player discovers completely new regions and influences world events within the scope of his role and abilities. In his own way, he tries to influence the course of events and change the fate of the world. This project is aimed at fans of fantasy history and 3D action-adventure genres around the world.
The publication is planned for August 2024 and will be funded by the federal government with 2.03 million dollars. It obviously remains to be seen whether, given the feedback, everything will not be cancelled gollum. But since it’s German money… The project could get away with it.
