Before you can search for the giant white stallion, you must start the quest “A photo for the Highland stable” in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To start this quest, you must head to the Highland stable.
Highland Stable is located in Faron in the southern half of Hyrule. We have marked its exact location on the map below. THE Highland Stable’s contact details are 0518, -3442, 0047.
When you get to the stable, head inside and head to the side which has a few tables and chairs. Then look on the wall next to this area, you should see an empty frame. Approach this frame and press ‘A’ to interact with him.
Padok will now start talking to Link, and to cut a long conversation short, Padok wants a photo of the giant white stallion to put in the frame. This is the beginning of the quest “An image for Highland Stable”.
How to find the giant white stallion in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To find the Giant White Stallion, you must head to Horse God Lake which is southeast of Highland Stable. There are several ways to get to the lake. You can stick a Zonai rocket on a shield, fly and paraglide towards the lake, you can climb through the environment near the lake, or you can ride your own horse along the path to it. We opted for the latter.
If you take the path down to the lake, you may come across a stone embankment as you approach the Horse God Bridge. You don’t need to fight this if you don’t want to, you can keep crossing the bridge because it won’t follow you here.
Here’s where you can find the Giant White Stallion:
Once you cross Horse God Bridge, keep following the path until you come to a dead end. This is where you should see the giant white stallion grazing some grass. the rough the coordinates of the giant white stallion are 0786, -3723, 0081.
To complete the “A Picture for Highland Stable” quest, all you need to do is take a picture of the horse. Don’t forget that this photo will be posted on the stable wall, you might want to take your time to get a good photo.
Once you have a picture that suits you, you have two choices. You can return to Highland Stable and talk to Padok to complete the quest, where you can tame the giant white stallion.
How to tame the giant white stallion in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To tame the giant white stallion in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will need a good dose of stamina. If you’re having trouble taming this horse, you can always brew stamina-boosting meals and elixirs in the cooking pot at Highland Stable. You can find lots of restless crickets in the area around the stable by cutting the grass, crickets make a decent elixir.
If you are still having trouble taming the horse, you may need to visit more shrines to obtain Blessing Lights to improve your stamina at Goddess Statues.
As you would if you were trying to tame a normal horse, you must sneak behind it without being seen. Having a stealth meal or elixir here is helpful. Once you sneak up behind the horse, press ‘A’ to mount it when prompted and press ‘L’ repeatedly to appease them.
Watch your stamina wheel, if it reaches its last half, we strongly advise you to consume one of your stamina boost items.
You have to hold on and keep soothing the giant white stallion until he finally calms down. When this is the case, take it back to Highland Stable to save it. The one thing to remember about listing this horse is that you cannot customize its saddle or bridle due to its size.
When you’re stabled and registered your stallion (Pebble is a good name for a horse, isn’t it?), talk to Padok And choose the conversational option “Show image”. Then you can choose the photo you want to hang on the wall and Padok will quickly hang up.
By completing this quest, you’ll earn a pony point, a high-level meal, and (if you’ve tamed them) the giant white stallion itself.
