John Wick’s journey is not over yet. At the very least, there are plenty of stories to tell in spin-offs. Katia actress Natalia Tena is now proposing a Christmas special.
- Katia actress Natalia Tena is convinced that after “John Wick: Chapter 4” the story of the contract killer must continue.
- The actress already has an idea and wants a Christmas special.
- But first, another spin-off from the “John Wick” universe appears with “Ballerina”.
A contemplative get-together in a “John Wick: Chapter 4” spin-off, that’s what the Katia actress Natalia Tena (“Game of Thrones”) wishes for in a Christmas special. Tena plays John Wick’s adoptive sister in the action film starring Keanu Reeves (“Matrix Resurrections”). Together they grew up with the leader of the Ruska Roma Pyotr.
To better understand the interesting family relationships between Katia, John and other Ruska Roma, Tena suggests making a Christmas special on the film series. In an interview with the US magazine “ComicbookShe describes why she finds this story particularly exciting.
The Ruska Roma probably have a number of bases in Europe. You have some in Berlin, maybe some in Europe and then some in America. We tried to clarify the relationship. Was Katia John Wick’s niece or just a cousin or second cousin? I think it would be interesting to see what a family Christmas would be like with all these Roma. The last time they saw each other was at a very bizarre family reunion or a christening or probably a funeral.

In the “John Wick” films, the Ruska Roma are the largest subgroup of Roma from Russia and Belarus. John and Katia grew up with them and acted as agents for the group. Until John left Ruska Roma to work for the Tarasov mafia. Only later did he return to the organization.
Before we get a Christmas special in the style of “Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special”, another spin-off from the “John Wick” universe is coming to cinemas first. The film “Ballerina” is about the killer Rooney Brown (Ana de Armas), who takes revenge for the murder of her family. Shay Hatten came up with the idea for the film before the release of the 3rd “John Wick” film.
“Ballerina” is scheduled to start in German cinemas on June 6, 2024.
