Become fireproof in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is essential if you want to explore the hot terrain of Death Mountain and the Eldin region.

How to Become Fireproof in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To prevent poor Link from taking flame damage while exploring Death Mountain and other Eldin areas, we know two ways to become fireproof in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom:
- Equip fireproof armor
- Use fire resistant elixirs
Of the two methods, equipping fireproof armor with the “flameproof” perk is the best way to become fireproof, since you don’t have to constantly search for the right ingredients to craft elixirs. Equipping the full set of Enhanced Fire Armor is also the only way we know of in TOTK that gives Link full fire protection.
That said, using elixirs with flame arresters is good if you don’t yet have the rupees to get fireproof armor, or if you don’t want to take off armor with perks that increase defense and attack stats. of Link.

Fire resistant armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
There are four pieces of fire resistant armor in Tears of the Kingdom:
- Flamebreaker Helm
- Flamebreaker Armor
- Flamebreaker Boots
- Divine Helm of Vah Rudania
The three pieces of the Flamebreaker set are located inside the armor shop in Goron City, and they cost:
- Flamebreaker Helm – 1,400 rupees
- Flamebreaker Armor – 700 Rupees
- Flamebreaker Boots – 1,200 Rupees
Although it can be quite expensive at the start of a game, buying every piece of the Flamebreaker set and upgrading is the only way to get full fire resistance in Tears of the Kingdom, we tell you. therefore recommend buying the complete set if you plan to explore death. Mountain a lot.
While it’s nice to become fully fireproof, it’s not essential, so buying a piece or two of the Flamebreaker set will still help keep the flames at bay as you traverse the Eldin region.

How to make a fireproof elixir in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To craft fireproof elixirs, you must combine monster parts with flame retardant lizards or choking butterflies. Be careful with your ingredients, because if you add another that provides a different effect, your creation will have no benefit, as they cancel each other out.
Hold the ingredient you want to use then mix it in a lit pot to make a fireproof elixir.
Fireproof lizard pitch
Fireproof lizards can only found in the Eldin region, and we found most of ours around Goron City. Look for a black colored lizard on the ground and some climbing rocks as you search.
You can also buy fireproof lizards for 25 rupees from Beedle at Woodland and South Akkala Stables.
Smothering Butterfly Location
Choking butterflies are the most common in the Eldin region and they’re harder to catch than fireproof lizards. Look for a black-colored stamp fly in the air as you search.
