In a long interview with meetingFrancesca Orsi points out that one has to be patient before discovering the fork of game of Thrones Jon Snow takes center stage.
We are working extensively with the authors to prepare the project for a possible green light, but at this point we don’t know if the project can go through with it.
As I’m sure you understood, we won’t find Kit Harrington in the role of Jon Snow right away. house of the dragon likely remains HBO’s priority for now. We expect to have to wait at least until 2025 to find out what will become of Jon Snow after the events of Jon Snow RECEIVE.
HBO is working on several unannounced spin-offs
Regarding A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms : The Hedge KnightFrancesca Orsi is a bit more detailed. The production of the project could go particularly quickly.
The project is smaller and more intimate, which allows us to progress faster than House of the Dragon because there are so many visual effects. You may know this, but according to the novels, there are no dragons in this series. This allows us to shoot faster because we don’t have to deliver all those visual effects.
She adds that the show should have three seasons, airing over three consecutive years. Francesca Orsi states that HBO is working on several more spin-offs of game of Thrones, but that they are so underdeveloped that it is too early to talk about them. Fans of the George RR Martin universe should have plenty of content to look forward to in the years to come.
