Good news for fans of The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red, as the company’s CEO told investors via a conference call that the company is not for sale and will remain an independent studio. Last week there was speculation that Sony wanted to take over the Polish studio, but that is not the case. It’s unclear if the next Witcher games will come to the Nintendo Switch, but by the time they’re done, the successor to Nintendo’s current system will most likely be widely available.
“Nothing has changed from our side. I can repeat what we have been saying for years – CD Projekt is not for sale. We want to remain independent. It’s very exciting to follow your own path, so it’s pure rumour.”
