Pokemon Go will begin a globally competitive coach battle with the GO Battle League next week.

GO Battle League Season 1 officially begins Friday, March 13, 1pm Pacific Standard Time (-7 GMT).
Those who participated in the Pokemon Go preseason preseason and scored level 4 or higher will receive Advanced Battle Pass as a reward. From today to March 13, preseason contestants can participate in all three combat leagues.
This means you can choose between major leagues, super leagues and master leagues.
If you are unfamiliar with the GO Battle League, you will be eligible to enter the league on foot and then battle against opponents around the world through an online matching system.
Legendary and mythical Pokémon will also join the GO Battle League. For a limited time, Darkrai, Altered Forme Giratina and Thundurus will be added as rare reward encounters, starting at level 4.
This is a summary of these special Pokémon:
- You will have the opportunity to meet Darkrai as from Friday, March 6, 8 am to Monday, March 9, local time. You may even encounter Shiny Darkrai.
- You will have the opportunity to encounter reward as a reward for the GO Battle League Friday, March 13, 8 am to Monday, March 16, local time. In the process, you may encounter shiny Forme Giratina.
- At all other times, you will have the opportunity to encounter the legendary Pokémon Thundurus as a reward encounter in the GO Battle League until further notice.
There will be two special events with the theme of GO Battle League Season 1 to give you more stardust to enhance the power of Pokemon. Pokémon dedicated to these events will appear in raids and in the wild, but not in Japan, South Korea, and Italy. In Japan, South Korea and Italy will still offer tournament bonuses.
- Events that can help you prepare for the GO Battle League: From Tuesday, March 10, 8 am to Thursday, March 12, local time, Powerful Pokemon will appear in the raid, including Skarmory, Swampert, Shieldon, etc. Registeel and Cressalia will appear in a five-star raid. In this event, you will also receive twice as much income as regular Stardust from Raid Battles and Trainer Battles. Please note that this reward does not apply to GO Battle League Coach Battles.
- Pokemon Go – GO Battle League Season 1 Launch CelebrationFrom friday 8:00 a.m. March 13 to Monday, March 16 local time, You can get more Pokemon considered to be powerful in the GO Battle League in the raid, including Altered Forme Giratina in the five-star raid. Combat Pokemon will also appear more frequently in the wild. You might even find "Shiny Timber" in a one-star attack. During the event, the following GO Battle League bonuses will also be available.
- Earn a Premium Battle Pass when you win a set of all five battles on the premium track of the GO Battle League.
- Complete 7 GO Battle League battles per day, while regular 5 games can be played up to 35 battles per day.
- You will receive Stardust rewards in the GO Battle League.
Niantic also outlined the following changes to the first season of the GO Battle League.
- Fine-tuned the rewards of the GO Battle League. Depending on your level, you will get more Stardust rewards and different amounts of "Charge" and "Fast" TMs.
- Winning is now much earlier in the team. Levels 2 and 3 now require you to win a certain number of battles to advance to the next level. Previously, victory was only important at the beginning of level 4.
- You may encounter Pokémon as the GO Battle League rewards for Season 1 will change. Metagross will be the guaranteed reward you first encountered in Season 1. At level 4, you will have the opportunity to meet Beldum. At level 7, you will have the opportunity to meet Rufflet, making its Pokemon Go debut, and then appearing in the Philadelphia Wildlife Park. Last but not least, when you rank 10th, the tough Pikachu Freeman will make his debut as a guaranteed reward encounter. In the future, the Pikachu Freemans will start at a lower level, but this season is your chance to challenge yourself and see if you can rank it 10th, trainer. With the encounter of the GO Battle League, Machop, Snorlax and Meditite will no longer appear, but you will encounter Scraggy more often. These reward encounters may change next season, so be sure to go all out and maximize your climb in the rankings.
- Reach level 10 to get avatar items and avatar poses inspired by Steven. Steven is the champion of the Pokémon League in Horn. Steven is both a very skilled Pokémon trainer and a kind and helpful mentor. His dedication to battle has made his avatar props and avatar poses a perfect match for the GO Battle League. This pose is a unique reward for the first season.
- If you have reached Level 7 or higher, at the end of Season 1, you will receive an "Elite Charge" TM. Elite Charged TM and Elite Fast TM are introduced. By using Elite Charged TM or Elite Fast TM, you can choose the attacks learned by Pokemon. Not only that, Elite Charged TM and Elite Fast TM can also enable Pokemon to learn about attacks that were previously only available during events such as "attack day" or "community day".
Pokemon Go Battle League Season 1 Schedule
Just like in the preseason, season 1 will be rotated between leagues. The dates below show the start and end of the league-but tentative. Niantic said that if anything changes, it will be announced.
