Diablo 4 Cheats
Our Diablo 4 tips can make your battle, navigation, and farming time much smoother while exploring Sanctuary in the story and beyond.
For even more help, you can access our full list of guides.
Break everything!
Not only do you get extra loot from destroying items like vases and armor stands, anything you smash also increases the meter required to perform skills in Diablo 4. This can help you maintain that skill meter. until you encounter a group of enemies again.
We found this particularly useful when playing as a Barbarian, as their Fury skill gauge depletes when not in use.
Use pins to guide you
A pin adds an icon to follow, but pins also draw a line to your target destination on your main and mini maps, so you don’t have to check the map every five seconds to make sure you’re going the right way.
You can time potion drops by looking at a boss’s health bar
Getting just one or two extra potions during a boss fight can be the difference between life and death in Diablo 4, so if you want to know whether or not to do this risky move while your health is low, take a look. first the bosses health bar!
The little triangles on their health bar indicate when the boss will drop some valuable potions for you.
Speaking of potions…
Don’t forget to upgrade your potions
Unless you have a useful skill or legendary ability that lets you heal consistently, potions are your best friend when exploring Sanctuary, so don’t forget to boost the health they give you!
Head to Alchemists in towns and villages like Kyovashad. Here you can exchange certain materials to improve your potions as long as you are at a high enough level.
To improve your potion ability, you will need to earn renown.
Focus on the end of the story
It’s worth doing side activities in each region to increase your renown until you get potion ability rewards, but after that we recommend waiting until you get a mount and complete the story before blasting your way through each mission and collectible location.
Obtaining a mount allows you to get through Sanctuary much faster, and you can’t claim the highest renown rewards anyway until you unlock world tier 3 after the story.
Don’t forget to repair equipment after death
It’s easy to forget to repair gear, but it’s worth spending gold to do so, as running around with damaged armor means enemies can kill you more easily. This is especially important when facing difficult bosses, so a visit to the blacksmith before a big fight is recommended.
Play in groups for bonus XP
Although the game technically becomes more difficult when playing in a group, in practice it is actually much easier. Enemy resistance is increased, but you have at least one other person to destroy the place with. Until your co-op partners leave you to do all the work, teaming up is a great way to maximize your XP gains.
Remember to stay close to each other, otherwise the XP boost won’t work.
Save, don’t sell!
Until you complete the story and reach the endgame in Diablo 4, we do not recommend selling your items, as collecting them to get resources is much more useful for you in the long run, as you need these materials during manufacture. Yes, you also need gold, but you get gold all the time by killing enemies and completing quests, so scavenging is the best option until you find out you need some. extra money later.
As a bonus, when you pick up an item, its appearance will now be available to you through the transmog system.
Transmog is free
About transmogrification, it’s free! Just go to the wardrobe symbol on your map in a town like Kyovashad and you can choose the style and color of clothes and weapons you want to slay demons with.
The ‘Back Trophy’ tab on the Transmog screen is also where you can equip cosmetics to your character’s back, like the ridiculously cute wolf cub rewarded for playing the beta.
Don’t ignore world events
We’ve already gone over all the ways you can get them on our dedicated Murmuring Obols page, but in short, the best and fastest way is to participate in World Events, areas marked with orange circles on your map.
Why do you need whispering obols? These are Diablo 4’s versions of Diablo 3’s Blood Shards (farewell, Kadala), meaning you spend obols at a curio vendor in towns for the chance to get legendary gear.
It’s not a big chance, but since obols are so easy to get from world events, it’s highly recommended to spend them when you can.
Play World Tier 1 until you get good gear
Basically, you’ll probably die a lot in World Tier 2 and take a lot longer to kill enemies while working on the story. Unless you don’t mind challenges and aren’t in a rush to complete the story, begin your journey through Sanctuary at World Tier 1.
You get less XP, but the time it takes you to do anything is drastically reduced, meaning you farm XP better without even really trying.
When things get boringly simple, it’s time to upgrade to World Tier 2!
Don’t forget your personal portal
Waypoints are your main method of fast travel, but if you press “T” on PC or the d-pad if playing with a controller, you can open a portal directly to a main town at any time except for certain . key boss fights.
If you can’t pick up any more loot, for example, quickly teleport to town, grab the gear you don’t want, then use that portal to go straight back to where you were and grab the new loot.
Just be careful not to leave a town after using a portal or it will disappear.
Keep gems and gear for other classes in your stash
Each region has a chest called your “stash”, which shares the contents you put there. If you come across a good weapon or piece of armor for another class and it’s not worth picking it up, put it in your stash when you start a new game as another class. It will really help during the first stages.
It is also recommended that you put your gems and skulls in your stash to slot them later.
Do not return when exiting a dungeon
You can leave a dungeon by using the map and selecting the exit to exit quickly, or by using the “Leave Dungeon” option on the action wheel.
