Streamers and call-of-duty expert Carl Riemer was suspended from Twitch and dropped by his e-sports organization SoaR Gaming. The reason for this: He accidentally fired a loaded weapon during a live stream – nobody was injured in the incident.

During the said stream, Riemer picked up a pistol, jokingly threatened an unavailable person in the room, and twice pulled the sled backwards. Deluding himself that the gun was no longer loaded, he pulled the trigger and fired into a pack of Gfuel – a powder drink mix. Visibly irritated by the shot, the streamer shouts: "What the hell ?!"

Twitch has drawn immediate consequences from the incident and that Carl Riemer streaming account suspended, Riemer's e-sports association SoaR also condemned the behavior of the streamer and immediately excluded Carl Riemer from their team.

Meanwhile, Carl Riemer commented personally on the incident on Twitch and takes responsibility for his negligent behavior. In the course of a YouTube video he apologized publicly, admits his mistakes in front of the camera and exhorts others not to follow his example.

Riemer admits that he was "obviously drunk" during the live stream (there are several cans of beer on the table in the shot) and admits that weapons, regardless of their condition, are "not toys" and should not be treated as such :

“It was a stupid mistake. However, a mistake that could have cost someone's life. «- Riemer confesses in the video. Riemer's colleague Drift0r, also a CoD streamer and influencer, reacted angrily on Twitter about the incident.

»It makes me angry when people show weapons just as easily in the stream – especially loaded. I wish that safety, maintenance and weapon handling courses were mandatory before buying one. That alone would prevent thousands of deaths from firearms, «Drift0r writes.

It is not currently known when and whether the Twitch ban from Carl Riemer is lifted again, It is unlikely that the streamer will be resumed at SoaR gaming.
