During Summer Game Fest 2023 tonight, we got a glimpse of some new gameplay Baldur’s Gate 3.
Check it out below.
The video shows Jason Isaacs as Lord Enver Gortash and JK Simmons as General Ketheric Thorm. Isaac should look familiar to you, as the British actor’s film roles include Colonel Tavington in The Patriots, Michael Steele in Black Hawk Down and, most famously, Harry Potter Lucius Malfoy.
Following the recent disappearance of Lord Ravengarde, the city of Baldur’s Gate turned to Lord Enver Gotash, the budding designer of the Iron Watch – magical clockwork warriors created to defend the city. As Baldur’s Gate’s new protector, Gotash is one of the most powerful figures within Baldur’s Gate.
When players arrive at the city of Baldur’s Gate, they find themselves in the midst of a dangerous power struggle, with many factions and powers vying for political control of the complex city. Isaacs’ character as the main antagonist adds a layer of depth as you venture into the morally gray alleyways and docklands of the game’s sprawling cities.
Baldur’s Gate 3 launches on August 31 for PC and PS5, with an Xbox version in the works.
Pre-ordering now on PC will automatically upgrade you to the digital version for free. On PS5, pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition will get you 72 hours of early access and lots of other goodies.
