The NVIDIA RTX 40 series hit the market with a hefty price tag, being an inaccessible product for many users. This factor makes the user look for cheaper similar solutions. These solutions are “old” models that have been on the market for some time and are still excellent solutions.
What are the best-selling graphics cards right now?
It can be seen on various sites that the best-selling models are the NVIDIA RTX 30 and AMD RX 6000 series. The only easy-to-sell next-gen graphics card is the RTX 4060 Ti. We do not see any Radeon 7000 Series solutions among the best sellers, which is striking because they are very good products.
NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti 8GB
It is not surprising that this component is currently the best seller. NVIDIA’s mid-range is characterized by offering good performance at a fairly reasonable price. Also, since it is an “old” model, the price has dropped and it is much more attractive than when it was launched.
It is a very good graphics card that focuses on gaming at 1080p resolution. It offers us the possibility to play with ray tracing and we also have access to DLSS.

AMD Radeon RX 6600 8GB
1080p resolution is clearly the most common among gamers. Not only does Steam give us this data, but also the best-selling graphics cards at the moment. It is the second most sold and, as we can see, it focuses on the graphic quality that we have commented on.
We will not have access to ray tracing, but to AMD FSR upscaling technology. The truth is that Ray Tracing has not finished interesting users. Although this is great technology, it consumes a brutal amount of resources and is a huge drain on performance.
It was launched on the market between 350 and 500 dollars, but now we can buy it between 200 and 250 dollars. Some interesting models are:
NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB
We have the RTX 3060 Ti as the bestseller, but the third bestseller is currently its little sister. It’s a bit less powerful graphics card and the prices are quite similar. This makes the user, by price, bet on acquiring the model that gives him a little more performance.
It offers us support, like any RTX model, for Ray Tracing and DLSS technology. Although it focuses on 1080p gaming, with 12GB of VRAM we could play at 1440p resolution. We still have to make some adjustments, depending on the game, to enjoy it in this graphic quality.
I hit the market with a price between 400 and 600 dollars, but currently it is already below 400 dollars. This is due to the arrival of the new generation of graphics cards. The following models caught our attention:
AMD Radeon RX 6400 4GB
It is quite surprising that this graphics card is currently among the best-selling models. It is a very limited graphics card due to the amount of VRAM memory. We will be able to move games like GTA V, LoL, Fornite or CS:GO in 1080p, but it is very difficult to move titles like Death Stranding or Cyberpunk 2077, among others.
When released, it raised many questions due to memory limitation. It sold for a bit because it was a low-cost, low-profile gaming graphics card for gamers. It was also stated that the limitation was given by Ethereum mining at the time, which required a minimum of 6 GB of VRAM.
It was launched in early 2022 for around 200 dollars or so. Currently, it can be found for less than 150 dollars and, also, in mini-ITX format. Here are the most interesting models:
NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super 6GB
One of the best-selling solutions, no doubt due to its attractive price and power, is this NVIDIA model. This is the latest graphics card released by the company which does not include support for ray tracing and image scaling.
Very geared towards fans who want to play in 1080p and are on a tight budget. It doesn’t support Ray Tracing, something that hasn’t become as popular as expected due to the drastic performance hit. It also doesn’t support DLSS, which adds a performance bonus, but since ray tracing isn’t present either, well.
It was launched at the end of 2019 for around 300-450 dollars. We can find models below 250 dollars, being a much better solution than an RX 6400. Some of the most interesting models are:
