Square Enix showed off a new gameplay trailer as part of tonight’s Summer Game Fest 2023 live show final fantasy 7 rebirth.
The trailer showcases the game’s story elements, combat, and expansive world that players can look forward to experiencing in early 2024.
Rebirth is the second installment in the FF7 remake project, retelling the story across three distinct games. Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aerith and Red 13 are reborn after escaping Midgar and embarking on a journey to hunt down Sephiroth.
In this solo adventure, you’ll solve mysteries and witness the individual journeys of each party member, and strengthen their bond to work together against a powerful foe.
“We’re proud to bring Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to players around the world early next year,” said producer Yoshinori Kitase. “In the next installment of this exciting story, Cloud and his new and returning friends will embark on new adventures, so all players can enjoy this story, even those who are not familiar with the previous game or Players of the original FF7.
