Bandai Namco has announced a closed network test of the upcoming Tekken 8. This closed test phase is intended to put the network infrastructure of the upcoming new brawl game through its paces. It starts on July 21, 2023 on the platforms PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
If you would like to have the chance to take part in this test phase, you can register accordingly on this website. After that, you just need a bit of luck to be selected.
Online ranked battles with cross-platform matchmaking will be playable in the network test phase. A total of 16 characters are available, including Jin, Kazuya, Paul, Law, King, Lars, Jack 8, Xiaoyu, Nina, Leroy, Lili, Asuka, Hwoarang, Bryan and the newly announced Claudio. There will be five stages with Urban Square, Yakushima, Rebel Hangar, Sanctum and Arena.
Access to the CNT is limited and will be distributed to those who register early enough. The CNT is divided into two different sessions: the first will be available only on PlayStation 5, the second will be available on all three platforms PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Participants in the first test on PlayStation 5 will also be able to participate in the second test. No Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription will be required to participate.
