This week’s best entertainment deals
Earlier this week we featured some great deals on Sonos soundbars and speakers available at best buy and the Sonos store. Several models are sold at the lowest prices ever. Here are a few choices worth checking out in case you missed our original post.
The latest Sonos soundbars offer good performance and a range of features including built-in voice control, Dolby Atmos and Apple Airplay 2 compatibility. However, their coolest feature is common to all Sonos speakers: the ability to wirelessly pair with other Sonos speakers via Wi-Fi, so you can hook up surround speakers and subwoofers without having to fiddle with extra cables.
If you need sweet tunes to pair with your new soundbar, you can currently pre-order some excellent vinyl LPs of the works of Studio Ghibli, due out June 23 – as if that wasn’t enough crowd-pleaser – every LP has one discreetly engraved character. Adorable stuff. The price of each album ranges from $54 to $69, but I consider that a small premium for an otherwise priceless listening experience. There’s an album for every Studio Ghibli release, but here are just a few of my personal favourites.
Finally pre-orders for The Venture Bros.: The complete series are currently discounted on Amazon. For the regular price of $129.99, you can reserve the DVD box set for $107.09. This collection brings together all seven seasons of the award-winning animated series and will begin shipping on June 13th. Fans of the series might want to wait and see if there’s a high-definition Blu-ray release, but until then, it seems like the next best thing.
