Since yesterday evening, the concrete release date of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has finally been set – and a little later the pre-order bonuses and collector’s editions were presented via PlayStation Blog.
Spider-Man fans won’t have to wait long for the new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to be officially available. The action sequel for the PlayStation 5 will be available from October 20, 2023, as has been confirmed since last night.
Pre-orders of the game will be possible from June 16 – and those who decide to buy it in advance can also secure pre-order bonuses. No matter which edition you choose, if you purchase before release, you’ll receive an early unlock Arachknight suit for Peter with three additional colorways, an early unlock Shadow Spider suit for Miles with three additional colorways, and an early unlock Web Grabber Gadget. There are also three skill points for easier entry.
The Standard Edition of the game costs 79.99 dollars, and there is also a Digital Deluxe Edition and a Collector’s Edition available for purchase.
The Digital Deluxe Edition costs ten dollars more at 89.99 dollars and includes not only the game itself but also all pre-order bonuses and ten unique suits – five each for Peter and Miles. There are also additional frames and stickers for photo mode and two additional skill points on board. It was also announced that these ten suits were designed by guest artists from comics, film and PlayStation Studios! Artists include Kris Anka, Julia Blattman, Sweeney Boo, Anthony Francisco, Raf Grassetti, Jerad Maantz, Joel Mandish, Darren Quach and Victoria Ying!
Die-hard Spider-Man fans can grab the Collector’s Edition for $249.99. This includes a voucher for the Digital Deluxe Edition, a steel book case and a high-quality 19-inch statue depicting the Spider-Men fighting Venom. The Collector’s Edition will be available to order via PlayStation Direct from June 16, 2023, 10:00 am local time in select countries including the US, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Austria, Europe and Portugal.
