Assassin’s Creed Code Jade Today’s Ubisoft Forward is back in the spotlight, and you can sign up to take part in the upcoming beta.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade brings the first open-world Assassin’s Creed game to mobile, and soon you’ll be able to try it out for yourself. Heading over to the official Codename Jade site will let you sign up for the beta, but there’s no word on when you’ll actually be able to try it out. A new trailer was also shown, offering a hybrid of the movie and the game, and while it looks like it’s all in-engine, it won’t really give you a sense of how it’s actually going to play. While it does look action-heavy, it does serve as a reminder of how far mobile gaming has come.
Codename Jade, which will also be completely free, is set in ancient China and the website says you can “travel through 2,000 years of history”. You’ll also explore “Xia Road, China’s first unified empire,” where you’ll need to “protect your homeland from Xionannu invaders behind the Great Wall.”
Ubisoft also gave us our first look at Assassin’s Creed Nexus, giving it a release window, and delved into the story in a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Phantom.
