Halo didn’t skip the not-E3 in the end

didnt, Halo, NotE3, Skip

Believe it or not, Halo isn’t actually E3 this year. You didn’t miss it at the Xbox showcase, instead, it made a brief but lovely appearance at last night’s Ubisoft Forward event. Both the Master Chief and the Arbiter are coming to Brawlhalla.

You’ll have to wait a second for both characters to appear in Blue Mammoth Game’s free platform fighter July 12However, the wait was worth it as both characters have their own unique animations with heavy references to their original IPs.

The news was announced via a beautiful new animated trailer, with nice references to the Halo 3 CG film.

Brawlhalla continues to drive in its own lane, doing its own thing. It currently has a peak player count of around 24,800 on Steam and has a strong presence in the Platstation and Xbox console communities. It is also the main destination for various IP crossovers. Over the years, Avatars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and tons of other guest fighters have popped up and taken root in Brawlhalla.

Halo, on the other hand, seems to be doing much worse. Halo Infinite on Steam peaked at just under 5,000 players. While it may shine on consoles, it’s a shame we don’t have those stats. Halo Infinite has been releasing content for the past few months, finally getting Infested mode less than a month ago. But as key senior employees continue to leave 343, it’s not a good thing for Microsoft’s once-star IP.

Regardless of the current state of Halo, it’s cool to see both the Master Chief and the Arbiter getting some appreciation for crossovers, and it looks like a lot of love has been put into it.

Will you be giving this duo a try later this year? Let us know below! If you missed the Ubisoft Forward event, you should definitely watch the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay trailer right here!
