Risen, Elex and above all Gothic. Piranha Bytes are known for these game series. The middle of this list, or its potential continuation, may be in a tweet that the studio published today. In response to the possible Gothic remake that is currently under THQ Nordic Barcelona, Piranha Bytes has announced that it is working on a new role-playing game.
"We at Piranha Bytes are currently highly motivated to work on a new RPG with our entire team. At the moment we are concentrating on our own work as we develop RPGs with passion and look forward to showing you our own game. We plan to announce it in 2020 ! ", says the tweet. It is likely that this is Elex 2, the sequel to the role-playing game released in 2017, since the studio had already applied for and received funding from the EU even before the debut was released.
A possible event for the unveiling would be the upcoming Gamescom, as the games from Piranha Bytes are particularly popular in Germany.
