Thomas Puha, Remedy’s communications director, stated that you will spend at least 20 hours with Alan Wake 2 before the credits roll. Of course he puts this statement into perspective, but how good players are also affects the playing time. Puha also emphasized that the work is not yet complete. It is therefore quite possible that the length will change somewhat.
Of course, Puha also promises a lot of variety for Alan Wake 2. According to him, this is due to the fact that the scene changes regularly between New York and Bright Falls. As is well known, the game presents you with two storylines that you can tackle in any order. On the one hand you are in the skin of writer Alan Wake, plagued by nightmares and visions, in New York, on the other hand there is FBI investigator Saga Anderson, who investigates a series of murder cases in Bright Falls.
Alan Wake 2 was recently given an official release date at the PlayStation Showcase after numerous rumours. Accordingly, the game will be released on October 17, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
