Hello Xbox Insiders! We have a new Xbox update preview for the Alpha ring. It is important to note that some updates made in these preview versions of the operating system include background improvements that ensure a high quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We’ll continue to post these release notes, even though the noticeable UI changes will be minimal, so you’ll know when updates are available for your device. See below for details!

Xbox Insider Release Notes

System update details:

  • Released operating system version: XB_FLT_2308ZN\25398.1510.230614-2200
  • Accessible: 2:00 p.m. PT – June 16, 2023
  • Mandatory: 3 p.m. PT – June 17, 2023

Corrections implemented

Thanks to the hard work of the Xbox engineers, we are pleased to announce that the following fixes have been implemented for this build:

system

  • Various updates to correctly reflect local languages ​​across the console.
    • note: Users participating in the preview may see “strange” text on the console. More information can be found here.

We understand that some issues have been identified in previous Xbox Insider release notes. These points will not be ignored, but Xbox engineers will need more time to find a solution.

Audio

  • We’ve received reports from users who are experiencing intermittent audio playback issues on the dashboard, games, and apps.
    • note: If you experience problems with audio playback, please send feedback immediately using Report a Problem with the option to “Reproduce with Advanced Diagnostics”.
    • Select the Console Experiences category, then select Console Audio Issues and provide the following information:
      • When did the problem start? After a console update, reboot, resume, etc.
      • Have you lost audio only in game/app or system audio as well?
      • Does changing the audio format fix the problem? If so, what format did you have before and after?
      • Does a restart fix the problem?
      • What is your setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
      • And any additional information you can provide to reproduce the issue.

My games and apps

  • Titles in the collection may incorrectly appear with the “Trial” tag.

TV/display

  • Some users have reported that the console is displayed at the wrong resolution when booting. We are informed and are investigating.
    • Note: If you encounter this behavior, please make sure to provide feedback immediately via Report a Problem. Please include the make/model of your TV/display in the description.
    • Workaround: Restarting the console from the Power Center (press and hold the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart) should fix the behavior. If not, make sure you look at troubleshooting Hereespecially the section about making sure your TV’s firmware is up to date.
