Blizzard is getting a pretty big update Diablo 4which has at least 13 pages of patch notes.
We think you’re better off making a cup ahead and grabbing a biscuit or two to go with it.
According to a recent campfire hosted by general manager Rod Fergusson and game director Joe Shely, the Diablo team discussed with the community some of the changes it’s making to the game. Among the many changes brought by the update are quality of life tweaks and more unique drops for classes like druids.
You can also expect an increase in the amount of XP you earn from Nightmare Dungeons, and the team will also revise how sigils work. After the patch is released, the Sigil will teleport you to the Nightmare Dungeon when used.
In addition to some changes to Nightmare Dungeons, you can expect a ton of fixes, notably disconnect issues; gems will be moved to the materials tab; farming nerfs will be applied; you can expect character buffs; and material caps will be increased.
As far as disconnection goes, this situation has been bothering many hardcore mode players. Here, the death of your character results in permanent deletion. Many Hardcore Mode players have reported their characters being lost from the server due to disconnects. Fortunately, this will be fixed soon.
The Dibalo team has released 11 hotfixes for the game since launch, but this will be the first real one.
Blizzard hopes to have a patch ready to release before Season 1 rolls out sometime in mid-July.
Diablo 4 players have spent 350 million hours playing the game, but Blizzard says the vast majority of players haven’t surpassed that since its release on June 5.
