Apple revealed a lot about its new products and software versions at its WWDC developer conference. As the next major update for the Apple TV later this year, tvOS 17 will bring some new features to Apple’s premium streaming platform, including FaceTime.
The video telephony app has long been known to most Apple users, because FaceTime has long been a pre-installed app for video chats on iPhone, iPad and Mac computers. The Apple TV was not among the compatible devices until now – after all, the small streaming box does not have its own camera.
