Zombie Army 4: Dead War Review – Rewriting And Repeating History

In a last-ditch effort to avoid losing World War II, Hitler devised a plan that turned all his followers into flesh-eating zombies. Now, it's up to you and up to three friends to shoot, punch, and blast your way through seemingly endless showers. The scene of Zombie Army 4 may not make sense, but it's fun, once again fun, and there is another version of 1940s European history.

Passing through crowds of zombies across Europe is a bad and bad news. From the normal brain foods that block your way from being unarmed with flaming rifles and sniper rifles, you never know what's standing between you and the next safe room. Firefighters seem to have some control at first, but they often adapt to the adrenaline-quoted stimuli. I won't tell you the amount of encounters I had where I was working to control the crowd with low level zombies, but there had to be a minigun beast that carried around the corner until it destroyed everything.

Moving in tight spaces is tricky, and sticking to furniture and walls is much easier when in shock mode. Thankfully, you often get yourself out of tricky situations with extra melee attacks or by firing your gun. The Zombie Army 4 rifle compensates for the hottest movement mechanic, delivering a smooth and satisfying shot collected by the analyst archer. I liked to hit the supernatural in my songs; I lowered the boost to give my rifle an electrical attachment that included damage between enemies. I also found sniper-rifle upgrades that provide a little health power per head.

That health improvement is important, as being able to hold only one disk at a time, and without safe rooms, is hard to come by. The combination of Zombie Army 4 is good for you to make mistakes in fear. I loved the momentum that came when zombies started pouring in from unexpected places, and the place I planned to protect from my death was made useless. Those moments, when you have to think and react to flying, are where Zombie Army 4 really shines.

Unfortunately, their encounters often repeat themselves and guess at the process. While the types of enemies are different, I've lost count of the number of times I needed to kill every zombie in the area to unlock the mark, eliminate zombies in one place to level the Blood Fountain, or protect the machine from improper connections. Because of this, I began to develop some strategies that could be used in each type of encounter, eliminating the fun element of wild cards and making combat feel more normal.

If you do not want to experience a formal encounter for the campaign, you can bring your action to you within 12 giant waves in Horde mode. I love the way maps open new areas and move your items so you can just dig in one place. However, my favorite part of the Horde is how it drives you to get creative with natural traps, different types of explosives, and your ammo supply. I don't expect to spend more time on the Horde trying to get my high score higher, but it's a nice deviation from the meat of the game.

While the campaign suffers from a lack of variety, the shooting equipment is tight. The action of Zombie Army 4 is fun and over the top, but killing an illiterate should not feel this way.
